Workshops…at a distance!

Borders by Penny Macleod

Every year I choose a few fantastic canvases to focus on for project classes, where each stitcher works on the same thing. My goal is to stitch them beautifully, with as many new threads, stitches and techniques as the design allows.

Even though we can’t physically stitch together, we can still get that in-person experience and attention to detail in this type of layered instruction. Each session of the class will build upon the areas stitched in the previous meeting until we’ve worked on each area, stitch and smallest detail. You’ll be all set to take your time and complete your masterpiece.

Borders
A three-part workshop to be held in the comfort of your own home via Zoom, on your phone, laptop or tablet.
September 12, 26 and October 4
or
January 11, 25 and February 1

9 am – 3:30 pm (Pacific Time)
Here’s how it works:

Purchase your canvas and threads through your favorite Needlepoint Shop. Have your canvas mounted on stretcher bars before class begins.

Please note: Canvases for the January class must be ordered before October 1, 2020 to guarantee on-time delivery!!

The week before the class begins I will mail your stitch guide to you. You will have it before class begins.I will also send the Zoom login details for the class.

In class, I will go through each area of the canvas with you. We will go step by step to be sure you understand how to complete your project. Class often includes video demonstrations of stitches and techniques included in the project. Ideally, you will stitch a little bit of each area in class. In the time between classes you can go back and work on those areas that we’ve already covered. That will make it easier to work the stitches in the next class session.

The fee to participate in the virtual class on the three dates listed above is:

$350.00 per person

This fee includes all of my preparation and teaching time, your spiral bound stitch guide and access to a private Facebook group to ask questions or check in with other participants. I will respond to questions posted on the Facebook group.
